"Riding Since 1945"
July 29th and 30th is the Adult Club Show. The events that we will compete in are: Judged Events: Men's Western Pleasure, Women's Western Pleasure, Reining, and Ranch Horse Cutting.Timed Events include: Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Potato Race, Water Race, and Trailer Race. Cattle Events include: Team Penning, Team Roping, Calf Roping, Break-away Roping, Ribbon Pull and Wild Cow Milking. (I think I got them all). You don't have to compete in all of them but the Bit n' Spur Club awards 1 - 3 placings with really nice belt buckles and if you place and go on the compete in the District 1 Show, the Region Show, and make it to State, you could win the "Woody Fillmore High Point Award" which is a really, really nice buckle.
If you are planning on competing in the District shows you would have to pay an additional $50. That is what is considered the District/Region/State Dues. If you don't want to compete on that level you can still compete at our Club show. The District 1 Show is in Tooele at the Bit n' Spur Rodeo Grounds. The Region show is in Price (Aug 26 & 27) and the State show, also in Price is Sept 9 & 10.
We hold Team Pennings every Tuesday and Thursday nights, throughout the summer. Sign ups at 7:30, first team out at 8 pm. If you don't have a team we can put you on one. The cost is $10 per rider ($30 per 3-man team) and that buys you 3 runs.
Several Trail Rides are scheduled and being finalized. Check the Trail Rides page frequently for updates.
