We Are the West - Live It!
The Tooele Bit n’ Spur 4th of July Rodeo is a fun, exciting and traditional community-wide celebration of America’s Independence Day held at the Deseret Peak Complex. Rodeo fans are treated to exciting and exhilarating rodeo action provided by the cowboys & cowgirls of the Rocky Mountain Pro Rodeo Association [RMPRA]. July 4th will have a spectacular fireworks display. The July 3rd & 4th Rodeo is the culmination of a yearlong venture for our Rodeo Committee and our dedicated team of volunteers working together toward the common goal; to put on one of the most successful, patriotic and largest RMPRA rodeo in Utah.
Our famous Mutton Bustin’ Buckle Championship bring out the next generation of rodeo stars. Lil' cowboys and cowgirls compete in 3 go-rounds that produce the final 6 contestants in the Buckle Championship. A hefty check and beautiful buckle go to the top 3 riders. The Championship is a favorite of our Rodeo fans.
Rodeo spectators are in for a real treat with a demonstration by Michael Dow of Slash D Stockdogs!
The Tooele Bit n’ Spur Rodeo is rich in history and tradition since 1945 when the Bit n’ Spur Riding Club was formed and held its first rodeo. Our members and volunteers share a common goal, to ensure our efforts have a positive impact on the club, the community, and the spirit of the nation’s Independence Day.
